From Humble Beginnings to Textile Excellence
Mr. Murugesan's journey in textiles began at the young age of 16. For three formative years, he honed his skills in various textile industries, laying the foundation for his future endeavors. At 20, he took his first entrepreneurial step by becoming a contractor, supplying staff to textile industries for eight years.
The Birth of Mummy Garments
In a bold move at age 33, Mr. Murugesan invested his life savings to establish Mummy Garments. He equipped the company with state-of-the-art machinery, including Overlock, Batlock, and Singer machines, along with essential iron and cutting tables. Initially focusing on t-shirts for all ages, the company was poised for growth.
A Pivotal Moment: The Royal Colors Revolution
A chance encounter with a client from Hyderabad changed the trajectory of Mummy Garments forever. Challenged to produce leggings of unparalleled quality, Mr. Murugesan embraced the opportunity. The successful delivery of 10,000 premium-quality leggings not only satisfied the client but also gave birth to our flagship brand: ROYAL COLOURS.

In 2005, Ms. Jothimani joined Mr. Murugesan as both a life and business partner, marking a new era for the company. Her excellence in managing operations has been instrumental in supporting business growth and expansion.
